Tanzania visa for football fans, step by step
Mis à jour le 2026-10-22Planning to follow your team to Tanzania in June and July 2027? Sort your entry papers first. This guide walks through the steps; check every detail against the official source before you pay for anything.
1. Check whether you need a visa
Some nationalities can enter Tanzania without a visa, others need one before travel. The list changes, so check your passport against the official list on the Tanzania Immigration Department website. [Confirm the current exemption list and link before publishing.]
2. Apply online, and only on the official portal
Tanzania issues visas through the government's official online visa service. Use that site only. Third-party sites that look official may charge extra fees.
- Apply at least [X] weeks before you fly. [Confirm recommended lead time.]
- Have a passport valid for at least [6] months beyond your stay. [Confirm.]
- Keep a digital and printed copy of the approval.
3. What you may be asked for
- Return or onward ticket
- Proof of accommodation (your FanSafari booking confirmation works for this)
- Yellow fever certificate if you arrive from or through a country with risk of transmission. [Confirm current rule.]
4. Tournament-specific arrangements
Host countries sometimes announce fan visas or simplified entry for big tournaments. If that happens for 2027 we will update this page. [Watch for official announcements.]
